Dare to be Happy
You want to be happy. You want to be happier. You don’t know if you are happy. All very valid statements, but to get to where you want to be, you must first define what it is you are after.
Happiness has been defined in so many ways; some say it is an emotion akin to joy or contentment or enjoyment; some say it is marked by pleasure or satisfaction. I say it is a feeling of inner calm, a feeling of having an undisturbed mind. You can be happy for a second while closely examining a rosebud, or a minute while watching a bird run across your lawn scratching for worms. Some people can maintain that state of happiness for hours on end, and some even for days. The exceptional ones can be happy for years and years because they have managed to cultivate a calm, undisturbed mind. It is an emotion, and emotion is the sum of the things you do and the thoughts you think of.
Experts say that the more you chase after happiness, the more elusive it gets. But there are things you can do in a tangential manner to arrive at the happiness state.
But the biggest question is, Why do you want to be happy? Do you really need to be happy? If you are suffering, you might even ask if it is even possible to turn this around and be happy? The Dalai Lama, in his book The Art of Happiness says that our purpose in life is to be happy. He is happy.He is fulfilling his life's purpose. So if you are looking at it from that perspective, then yes, happiness is a must. But you also need to know that suffering, for all its dark connotation, is necessary for you to feel happiness. There can be no light without darkness.
My role as your coach is to help you discover your thoughts, so you will come to embrace the polarities life brings us. I can guide you to take steps to arrive at this happiness state, help you be in this state for a sustained period. Allow me to help you discover how you can use your mind to be happier than now.

Dare to be Bold and Brave
To be bold and fearless, to dare take risk without reasonable preparation is foolishness. Attempting to boldly dive into any business without researching about the business is not a sound move. To go into battle without making sure you have enough ammunition, is suicide. Notice I mention the word reasonable, which can be subjective. What is reasonable for one might not be for another. The easiest way for you to quantify this word is give yourself a time frame and a goal.
But there are people who think too much, prepare too much, research too much only to fall into inaction. In the end, they do nothing despite the desire to do something. Preparation paralysis. Analysis paralysis.
You can be brave in your decisions in life, profession,business, relationships, health. You might want to do something different with your life, but do not know whether you are doing the right thing. You might want to switch professions but are afraid you will make the wrong choice. You might want to start your own business but do not know where to start. You might want to take your business to a new level, but you are concerned that it might flop. I understand that those can be daunting to say the least.
This is where I can help. We can go over some steps we can put in place to get you ready, I can guide you in your goal setting exercise to get you from point a to point b, I will be there to listen to your voice, your thoughts and apprehensions. I will be there to guide you while you brainstorm your steps. And then I can guide you so you can give yourself permission to jump. How high and how far is all up to you.

Retirement
“I want to retire now!”. A friend blurts out. Well, are you prepared to retire? Preparation would mean a few things: financially prepared, emotionally and mentally prepared. The last thing you want to happen is to get bored or broke! So let us get you prepared. If you are 65, it’s not too late to set a plan in motion. If you are younger, then you need to set that plan in motion NOW!

Dare to be your own Boss
People want to be their own boss, for various reasons. Why do you want to be your own boss? What is your motivation behind the desire. More importantly, how strong is that desire.
Knowing the real reason why you want to be a business owner it is a predictor of how you will operate, and how long you will operate as one. Some people want to be their own boss because of they do not want other people to control them. Some want it so they do not have to be answerable to anyone else, or that they want to come and go as they please, or they want to work some days but not on others. All valid reason but are they really strong enough reasons to want to be your own boss?
So what are strong reasons behind wanting to be your own boss?
Reasons like "want to be challenged, make more money, you want a better lifestyle, you know you can do so much better when you are one". Or "they have a strong desire to help people in the community" These are much deeper, and much more rooted to a sense of being. It also will be an indicator that if the going gets rough, you will more than likely dig deep and persist. You are in it for the long haul.

Awareness is the first step to being in control of yourself and ultimately your destiny. Being self aware is an important cog to a whole new growth of your spirit, mind and body.
Are you operating on autopilot? Are you reacting to situations without thinking about the situation first, or what your reaction will cause? What is your communication style like when you deal with other people? Do you want to understand how other people see you? How do you deal with others when you are stressed? Do you blow up, or clam up, do you avoid certain situations or do you lay blame on others?
Everyone certainly has to some degree, been asleep on the wheel. But if you want to, that can change!
I can coach you to find that awareness switch. I can guide you to understand what it takes to be emotionally aware and awake to your potential!
